I DID IT!

I finally opened a storenvy store! It went live last week and I have loved watching emails pop up saying.. "You've made a sale!" It brings me so much joy to know that I can create things people love! I opened the store in hopes to make a little extra money to pay for our adoption, so the products offered are African and adoption inspired. I am blessed to have an amazing support system and a lot of the sales have been from friends and family. I hope that this can eventually go further than that. I guess we'll just have to see where it takes me.

Go take a look! (starting small. only 2 products :)

LITTLE ART

Most of you know, we started the adoption process about a month ago and Aaron and I have been brainstorming different ways to make a little extra money to help pay for the adoption. We're requesting a boy and we want to name him Arthur, but we've already been calling him "Little Art". These are some ideas I've been playing around with for letterpress prints. What do you think?

LETTERPRESS

Some things I've been working on with my letterpress.

Mostly gifts for friends and family. I still feel like I'm learning and trying things out. Carving with the linoleum blocks is working great and every now and then I'll find some awesome letters that aren't super expensive.

REAL HOPE FOR HAITI

My husband wrote released a new single, "Got a lot to Give". If you purchase the song on his BandCamp site all proceeds go to REAL HOPE FOR HAITI, a rescue center that is intentional in its efforts to improve the quality of life for malnourished children in Haiti, especially in the current crisis.

You can pay what you want for the song, but know that whatever you give is helping so many desperate people in Haiti that really need all the help they can get!

I HAVE BEEN ILLUSTRATING!

A few weeks ago my friends at storenvy came to me wanting an illustration for their home page. I was a little bit overwhelmed at first but their belief in me got me to a place where I was willing to give it a shot. This was so much fun. This is one of my favorite characters. You can see the final illustration here. And if you look close you can see Aaron :)

NEW LOGO

Threw this logo together for a friend who is trying to get his start as a booking agent for Christian artists. He requested a dove :)

Trying to figure out what Lab Partners Project product should look like. The bug collection idea could be fun...

MOTHER HEN

Janette and I are trying to pull a baby shower together for Rachel in the next couple of weeks. We decided on a mother hen theme in reference to the baby chickens Rachel got not too long ago. I drew up a vintage style chicken for the evites. Can't wait to meet little Kempf!

SPRING IS IN THE AIR

This is a project I got to work on for Sunrise Greetings last year. They were launching a new handmade line and wanted some fun attachments.  You can find it at Barnes & Noble!

AMPERSAND = BIRD

I was doing some logo design in the car on the way to Arkansas today and Aaron suggested I play around with a new logo for twine and twig. I made an amazing discovery... ampersand = bird. Since the name "twine and twig" was inspired by a line from Spoonful of Sugar, I thought a robin would be the best choice. I think I'll name him Bert after Dick Van Dyke's character.

Has very little time to rest
